Current Canadian Inflation Rates: 2004-2014

The chart and table below show the current annual Canadian inflation rate as well as recent annual rates through the last decade. These inflation rates are derived directly from the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as published every month by Statistics Canada. The CPI measures the average change in the price of selected consumer goods and services throughout Canada.

For this year, the most recent rate was published on February 21, 2014 and it is reflective of the increase in consumer prices year-over-year through January 2014. This is used as the latest data point in the chart and table. Check back on March 21, 2014 for the latest 12-month Canadian inflation rate ended February 2014.
